Yes, you can stop heart disease. Yet, our current medical paradigm is designed to slow progression of this scourge, not to reverse it. Screening and treating risk factors for cardiovascular disease does “postpone” having a heart attack and stroke, and might even give some people enough time to die from something else, but testing for risk factors and prescribing drugs does not make your arteries healthy.
